Women's Cross Country Names Three as Captains

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) head men's and women's cross country coach John Lynch has announced that the captains for the women's team this season are Leah GoodloeOlivia Pisacano, and Olivia Reid.

A senior, Goodloe (Colorado Springs, CO / William J. Palmer) has competed in 11 meets in her career (the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), including seven as a junior in 2022. She ran her career-best times in both the 5K (19:28.1) and 6K (23:22.1) last year before competing in the Liberty League Championship, which the Engineers won; the NCAA Regional; and the NCAA Championship. Goodloe was the Liberty League Runner of the Week once. An aeronautical engineering major, she has earned Dean's Honor List and conference All-Academic recognition.

Pisacano (Philadelphia, PA / Little Flower Catholic), a senior, competed in six meets last year and three in 2021. She ran in each of the last two Liberty League Championships, including a 10th place finish with a time of 23:27.6 last season, as well as back-to-back NCAA Regionals. She finished in 24:26.8 before competing in the NCAA Championship with her teammates. Pisacano is a design, innovation, and society and mechanical engineering dual major. 

A junior, Reid (Manorville, NY / Eastport South Manor) has run in eight career meets with three coming in 2021 and five in 2022. She established career bests in both the 5K (19:39.8) and 6k (24:04.0) as a sophomore. She later ran a 24:56.5 at the Liberty League Championship. She is an aeronautical engineering major who has earned Dean's Honor List and Liberty League All-Academic accolades.
